SecurityRED™ is an online service, accessible even via telephone, which allows smartphone owners to remotely manage its main functions, guaranteeing peace of mind in case the device is lost or stolen.
SecurityRED™ can be purchased from one of our worldwide partners as well as from our online store.
SecurityRED™ is activated by entering the code which is printed on the reverse of your scratchcard or that you received following your online sign-up. Once you have entered this code, along with your details, mobile phone number, device type and IMEI number, you will be able to activate your profile which will allow you to download the SecurityRED™ is able to manage or lock all the basic functionality of your operating system as well as any other application installed on your device, as long as the application is known to the service. In this way SecurityRED™ is able to help you manage any application which should be installed on the device. Once this application has been installed and verified you will be able to activate the service.
IMEI stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity which is a unique code that allows your device to be identified anywhere in the world. In order to read your device IMEI code please consult your device’s user guide or enter the following code into the keypad: *#06#. If this sequence fails to provide you with your IMEI code, please contact your service provider or device manufacturer.
Yes. You can transfer the service to another device at any time during your service period simply by accessing the relevant part of our website and following the Change Device procedure. It will be necessary to re-install the RedTech™ application on the new device and verify that it is functioning correctly.
Yes. It is possible to change your phone number at any time. This is done by accessing the SecurityRED™ service via the relevant menu item. Unauthorized changes to the SIM card will result in an automated message being sent to the user in order to prevent fraudulent use and offer the ability to lock down the device.
SecurityRED™ is provided via subscription over a period of 12, 24 or 36 months. The service period is defined at the moment of purchase, either from a scratchcard or online.
Yes. You can change carrier by updating your user profile on our website.
SecurityRED™ is available for any mobile device which includes telephone functionality (smartphone) and which runs on a compatible OS. The list of compatible Operating Systems is updated all the time. Check the list to find out if your device or OS is compatible by visiting the Customer Care area on our website.
SecurityRED™ is growing all the time and more and more people on more and more devices are learning about the benefits of the service. At the moment it is compatible with all devices running Microsoft™ Windows Mobile 5 and 6. Versions for Symbian™ and RIM™ are coming soon.

You can renew the service online. You need to enter your activation code and confirm what service period you are renewing for, 12, 24 or 36 months.
The SecurityRED™ service dialogs with your device via text messages. These messages are sent automatically by the central system so as to perform commands on the device. In order to avoid improper use of the service by unauthorized persons, the operations per year have been limited.
All communication and the sending of commands to and from the device take place via the use of encrypted messages. The data encryption algorithms used are among the most secure available and are based on SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology, the same used to guarantee data security by banks and other companies.
Yes. More devices can be added to your profile by taking out a new subscription for each new device.
Yes. It is possible to subscribe to the service and enable the centralized management of a large number of devices. In order to simplify the process, a list of devices can be imported to the site. If you would like to receive more information, write to us at

SecurityRED™ is a service that allows to talk on specific request of the subscriber directly with the device equipped with a special application called RedTech™.
RedTech™ is an application built and developed to be able to talk with the native operating system, that can intercept the commands that are made by the user to the operating system before they are made thus inhibiting their proper functioning.
Yes. It is possible to access SecurityRED™ and carry out basic functionality directly from a PDA which has the ability to navigate the internet with a browser. The site dedicated to PDAs is www.securityred.mobi from where you will be able to lock the device and cancel information, even via telephone.
Yes. If you are unable to access the service via the web then don’t worry! You can also lock-down or manage your device via the telephone. This can be done using any telephone on a normal phone line in the countries where the service is available, by interacting with an automated system (currently available in English). This service allows you to activate or lock down the main functionalities on your device. The call is at your expense.
Your Security Code protects you from unauthorized use of the SecurityRED™ service. The code is needed every time you send a message to or want to manage your device. For this reason it is imperative that your security code not be kept on or close to your device or with your service activation code.

or use a device running Windows Mobile 5 or 6. Some devices may not be compatible because of functionality or configuration done by different carriers or vendors.
RedTech™ is the client application which must be installed on the device and which performs and manages data and information security as well as receiving the commands that are sent via the SecurityRED™ service. If the application is not present, the SecurityRED™ service will not work.
SecurityRED™ is able to manage or lock all the basic functionality of your operating system as well as any other application installed on your device, as long as the application is known to the service. In this way SecurityRED™ is able to help you manage any application.
The number of shares available within a SecurityRED™ subscription is limited; where you had reached that limit is it necessary to purchase a new subscription.
Access to your device can be blocked in three several ways:
- Log in to www.securityred.com web site, move to “Quick Links” section and select “Immediate device lock”,or execute Device -> Lock command;
- Log in to www.securityred.mobi and select “Immediate device lock”
- Send an SMS to you device phone number with STOP followed by your PIN SecurityCide (i.e assuming you PIN is 12345 you will write the sms as follow: STOP 12345)
RedTech is not properly installed or configured in the mobile device. You need to log on the site www.securityred.com and proceed with the installation or configuration again.
